📖 About Narsan
At the Narsan border Uttar Pradesh ends and Uttarakhand begins — the state's first gate for anyone arriving by road.
Narsan is a development block of Haridwar district, in the Garhwal division. Haridwar is where the Ganga leaves the hills for the plains, and the Kumbh Mela is held here every twelve years. Roorkee, in the same district, is where Asia's oldest engineering college (now IIT Roorkee) opened in 1847.
